Egged is in charge of a quarter of Israel’s total public transport market! We operate 28 transport clusters nationwide; the Company is continually upgrading its transportation systems and investing in fleet modernization to deliver its passengers a high-quality, fast, comfortable riding experience.

Thanks to huge investments in improving the riding experience, the Ministry of Transport has awarded Egged the 2024 first place in the public transport operators’ rankings. This is a significant achievement, highlighting our commitment to meeting our timetables, maintaining bus cleanliness, improving driver courtesy and enhancing the digital service for passengers.

In times of national crisis, public transport is a country’s lifeblood - and Egged is there to ensure its uninterrupted continuity. Throughout the Swords of Iron War, Egged has continued to operate its lines, including under fire. It has evacuated civilians from danger areas, and has assisted the IDF by transporting military service personnel to their bases.
