Derech Egged (Jerusalem Environs) is a wholly-owned Egged company, operating bus lines - city lines and intercity lines - throughout the Jerusalem West cluster, serving 5.5 Million passengers from the very first year of its operations within the cluster.
Improving the journey experience
Derech Egged operates over 300 new buses, featuring enhanced physical partitioning of the driver compartment from the rest of the bus for increased security. The buses are fitted with a wireless network and USB ports for passenger use.
About half of the buses are powered with liquefied natural gas (LNG), and half are in compliance with the stringent Euro6 standard for clean air, resulting in a more economical, greener ride.
