Driving Public Transportation in Europe
Egged expanded its business overseas in 2006, presenting a bold vision: to bring the Israeli innovation, knowledge and experience to public transport in Europe.
Currently, Egged owns two important public transport companies in Poland and The Netherlands, transporting millions of passengers per year.
The companies are fully owned and managed by the Egged Group.
Poland - Mobilis - driving Poland forward
Through its Mobilis subsidiary, Egged entered into the Polish market in 2006.
Nowadays the Company operates public transport in the country’s three main cities: Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław.
With some 370 buses in its fleet and 1,000 employees, Mobilis provides high-quality, continuous service, racking up some 25 million km of mileage per year.
The Netherlands - EBS leads the green transport revolution
In 2011, Egged entered the Dutch market through EBS.
Business was initially concentrated in the Waterland region (around the Amsterdam metropolitan area). This later expanded to Voorne-Putten and Haaglanden - regions in the south of the country and around the Hague.
Currently EBS operates some 720 buses, most of which are electric. The remainder are gas-powered or hybrid.
The Company excels in its quality of service - for years it has been ranked by the Dutch government at the highest level of satisfaction among public transport users in The Netherlands.
In March 2025, EBS won the tender for operating public transport in the Province of Zeeland in the southwest.
This concession will bring an extra 120 buses into service (90 of these will be electric), operating out of 5 depots with an annual turnover of approximately NIS 1.2 billion.
